Elder Melvin L. Pitts

Elder Melvin L. Pitts Jr. hails from the great city of Chicago, Illinois by way of Orlando, Florida. His active affiliations include the NAACP, Neighborworks America, Sag-Aftra, and his non- profit organization, Project W.E.A.L.T.H. In this, he provides financial empowerment courses, and life management skills to the community. With 30 plus years of service in the church, Elder Pitts has served as a Worship Leader, the Men’s International Director, Director of Protocol, Youth Leader, and Minister. Corporately, he holds 15 years of banking management experience, with 10 years of experience as an educator, leading up to his previous role as Provost of C.E.I. Technical Institution, now Legend’s Academy. Striving for more, he has enrolled as a Business Organizational Management Leadership and Vocal Performance Major at the Great Morris Brown College. It is there that he sits on the Student Government Association Board as the Historian, Mimi’s Pantry School Ambassador, and a Wolverine Squad Tutor. Currently ranked, as a 4.0 GPA student, his future accomplishments include, graduating with Summa Cum Laude Honors, attending Harvard University for his PH.D, and one day, becoming a prominent member of congress, providing self-help books, seminars, sermons, and guidance to inspire and up lift communities around the world.
