Reverend Traves Reames


Reverend Traves Reames is a native of Saint Charles, South Carolina. He is the Director of Residential Life and Urban Affairs for Turner Theological Seminary at The Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta, Georgia.  Reverend Reames' formal education began in Lee County where he graduated from Lee Central High School in 2010.  He graduated from Morris College with a Bachelor of Arts.  Reverend Reames, while a student at Morris College, was selected to direct the Congressional Black Caucus Mass Choir in Washington, DC (2014).  Under Reverend Reames leadership, Morris College's Gospel Choir  opened for Helen Miller and Georgia Mass Choir.

Reverend Reames is an ordained Itinerant Deacon in the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church. He is a senior at Turner Theological Seminary at the ITC pursuing a dual major in a Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Liturgical Arts & Culture.  He is the founder of DOPE (Defining Our Purpose Everyday) Ministries LLC. He is an advocate for the power of black community, bridging generational gaps and respecting all humankind especially black women.
